Iaido/Kyudo Travels in 2012

This is going to be an exciting year. As an employee of the graphics division of AMD (formerly known as ATI), I will be awarded a sabbatical to the tune of four extra weeks of vacation! WOOOO!

While those days will most certainly go into an extended summer trip, we have other exciting training opportunities as well. The following is our tentative schedule for 2012:

February 5 - Greater North East US Kendo Federation Iaido Seminar and Grading - Newark, USA

February TBD - Western Canada Iaido Seminar - Vancouver, Canada 

March 10-17 - Vacation in France with side trip to Switzerland - Venelles, France

May 18-21 - Eastern Canada Iaido Seminar and Grading - Guelph, Canada

• Grading Challenge: Iaido 3 Dan (Hanna)

June 21-24 - All US Kendo Federation Summer Iaido Camp - Tacoma (Seattle), USA

July - Asia trip to Hong Kong and Japan - Asia

August 13-17 - American Kyudo Renmei Seminar - Davis (Sacramento), USA

• Grading Challenge: Kyudo 2 Dan (Hanna, Patrick, Michael)

December 1 - Eastern Canada Iaido Grading - TBD, Canada

• Grading Challenge: Iaido 4 Dan (Patrick, Michael)

Eventually, I would like to participate at the BKA Summer Seminar and the European Iaido Championships. Maybe 2013? =)

Does anyone know of any other large seminars outside of Japan that are worth going to?
